Hi, welcome to Shazpots, my name is Sharon and I have been playing with clay for quite a few years now, I started off doing a sculpture course via the adult education center and then went on to become a student at Aylesford Pottery where I now teach as well as continue to be a student. I joined a local art group and ended up teaching and I loved being able to pass on my knowledge to others which gave me the inspiration to do more. I was hooked from the moment I made my first piece and have not looked back since, I work mainly with Stoneware and Raku clay, Stoneware for its durability and Raku just because I love the unpredictability of every result, its a bit of magic that everyone can enjoy and share. I would love for you to be able to join me at some point in the future to share that magic. This is only a small studio that will take two people along with me which makes it perfect for couples or people who prefer not to be in a big group, this allows for a much better learning environment. The Raku Days will accommodate up to 10 people but are weather dependent and we will be joined by my apprentice (husband) who helps out.
